Our current build is occurring in Horn Lake, MS. We completed our first home at this site in November of 2009 and this year we are going to have two homes being built at the same time. This has been an exciting project as one of the homes is being built by Baptist DeSoto Hospital employees while the 2nd home is being built by the usual volunteers that the Habitat DeSoto Chapter has. The homes are scheduled to begin construction on Sat., September 11th, 2010.
Volunteer work days (as weather permits) are each Saturday morning until the home is completed (approximately 8 weeks). We welcome volunteers on their own as well as any groups who would like to come and help.
